Scott Smith is the founder and CEO of AquaFlex Holdings LLC, which specializes in developing and commercializing proprietary technology that detects/removes contaminants (e.g. metals, bacteria) from water. AquaFlex’s open-cell polyolefin foam technology has been deployed/proven in over 60 water contamination disasters. Scott is a named inventor on six issued patents and 14 patent-pending applications related to specialty polyolefin foams used for both water testing and remediation of industrial oil and chemical spills. In 2016, he began field work with the United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Sprinkler Fitters to develop a scalable national water-sampling program that focused on reducing the risk of Legionella and other potential pathogens in potable and industrial water systems. Scott has a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
