Girlie Manatad, M.D., MPH, CHSP

Holding both an M.D. and an MPH in environmental occupational health science, Dr. Girlie Manatad is currently in charge of facility regulatory compliance at six campuses of NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital including off-site clinics. Her operational expertise and responsibilities include utilities management, emergency management, environment of care, environmental safety, infection control and water safety. She also provides regulatory compliance guidance and support to five NYP regional hospitals. Girlie is the NYP utilities management sub-committee chair and the chair/lead of the environmental sub-group of the NYP Behavioral Health Steering Committee. NYP has received awards for excellence in building water health and health care facility management based on her team’s efforts. She was also a voting member of the NSF International 444 Joint Committee for NSF 444: Prevention of Injury and Disease Associated with Building Water Systems.
