Dr. Michèle Prévost
Professor and Industrial Chair on Drinking Water of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Council of Canada (NSERC), Civil Engineering, Polytechnique Montreal
Michèle Prévost has more than 25 years’ experience in research and technology in drinking water treatment and distribution, including founding the CREDEAU laboratory. Dr. Prévost has completed applied R&D on source protection, water treatment and various aspects of distribution systems. She has directed large Canadian initiatives such as reducing lead at the tap through a suite of laboratory, field and epidemiological studies. Since 2009, she has led the Canadian-based cooperative research on cyanobacteria and toxin treatment with utilities and established strong links with Australian experts on cyanobacteria detection and treatment.
